Hi Kathy, I'm glad Winnie has the perfect new home.
The food group would probably be a better place to go into detail about this; the lowest dose of VSL#3 is one capsule and I'm not sure it's appropriate for such a tiny dog. If the diarrhea is not very severe, Proviable might be a better idea. But again, hard to discuss in the comments section and not really the best place for it, lol. people may think they have stumbled into the food group. :)

Winnie has a new home. She and I were perfect for each other, but she was resource guarding me with my two grandchildren who live next door and are at my house often. Therefore, she has a new PERFECT mommy who does NOT have children visiting her. I'm going to encourage her to join Doodle Kisses and the Purebred Poodles of DK group. In the meantime, though, Winnie has had some diarrhea issues and I was reading about that topic here. If I tell her to get VSL#3, how does the dosing work for a 15-pounder??

When the time is here, if able, our next baby will be a poodle, most likely a Miniature. I grew up with Miniature poodles and one very wonderful Britney Spaniel. Our Doodle choice was made due to my false belief in the Doodle hype (before DK). Don't get me wrong, we adore, and I mean LOVE our doodles and would not trade them for the world but our age and by the time we will be ready a Poodle will be our choice.
