I just knocked on some wood, LOL. I hope things continue to go well for us and get better for you guys. Keep us posted on puppy training. I'm curious to hear how that goes. Ace is going to the vet today for a new puppy visit. This will be our first time driving with him. Hopefully he's okay in the car.

Sosa - It sounds like you got a super good pup! Gracie doesn't really want to go into her crate, but she will with treats and persuasion.

Ashley - I'm glad to hear you are seeking some help with Wrigley. I am scared for the 6 month mark too. Gracie is not too bad, but she is definitely a challenge.  I've always got to be 2 steps ahead of her! I'm going to take her to training as well, but for now just working on things at home. We had guests yesterday and I didn't think she did too bad. She was excited, but was able to listen (mostly) to the commands.

Hi Ashley, it's going well, thanks for asking :-) Today was day four and we feel like we are beginning to settle  into a routine with the crate training. He actually likes his crate now and goes in without issue for the most part. He'll sleep for a long while and when he wakes up, he no longer cries, he'll just sit there patiently waiting for us to let him out. We feel like he's comfortable with us now. It is definitely exhausting. It's the potty training aspect that makes it exhausting. He is going out to potty on a regular basis, but in order to avoid accidents, we have to be ON TOP OF IT. Any slacking on our part and the accidents happen. We look forward to when he will signal that he needs to go out. We're going to try the bells and see if he catches on to that. He's learned to sit. We're working on stay and lie down. As far as night time, he sleeps pretty well. My husband had night time potty duty. Puppy gets up 1-2 times and it tends to be at the same time my husband gets up for his potty breaks. The only thing that really sucks is it has been like a monsoon season here in Seattle the last few days. Potty breaks in the pouring rain is so not fun. It's such a chore standing out there and then having to clean him up when coming back in. If it was dry here, it would be much better.  How's it going with your puppy?

Oh my goodness! Tomorrow is the big day. Our puppy is being delivered and I AM SO NERVOUS. It feels pretty close to how it felt when we brought our newborn twins home. Ace had his vet visit yesterday. He was given some vaccinations, a microchip and a clean bill of health. At 7 weeks he weighs 11.7lbs.
