Mats on coat

Has anyone tried fur butter to rid thier doodle of mats. Our boy has some mats and I would like to get some help in trying to eliminate them. Any suggestions?

The owner of the store that we buy Timbow's food from is the one that told me that they use it on the dogs they groom to get matts out. :-) You should join the doodle grooming group. There's a lot of information there. Hope you guys are having a great day!
