- Have always had Golden Retrievers, but my last one, Riley, whom I put to sleep last week, was severely epileptic for 9 of his 12-1/2 years, so I decided to stay away from the full-blooded golden this time.

Welcome to DoodleKisses, and you selected a great dog. I think goldendoodles are the best. BTW, you are in a foxtail area, and I don't know what Nancy was thinking. It is always a possibility around here. I have to be checking my dogs constantly after walks. They have had lots of foxtails, in their coats, feet, ears, nose, and GT even had one embedded in his shoulder one time. Nasty little buggers.
