Gracie is 16 months old and in good health. Twice in the last 2 weeks, she has flopped down exhausted from a good hike and has had a potty accident in her sleep. Has anyone else experienced this?Continue

Just when I'm thinking we're having a nice stretch of puppy health, Gracie starts vomiting and there are 2 roundworms and a rodent tail in her vomit. She's vomited 6 times in the last 5 hours. Gonna…Continue

We thought we had Gracie's fever and lethargy licked after an IV and shots on Tuesday. Overnight on Tues. she became even more lethargic and wouldn't get up Wed. morning to potty. I had to roll her…Continue

We took Gracie to the vet - upon good advice from all of you. She has a 103.5 fever, so the vet gave her IV fluids, a shot of penicillin, and an anti-nausea drug to help her feel better. She is…Continue

Gracie is a mountain dog. She was born in Colorado in the spring of 2012 and has lived through all 4 seasons with us at 8200 feet. Shortly after we brought her home, Mother Nature blessed us with a big dump of snow in early June. It only took seconds for Gracie to fall in love with the white stuff…

Gracie loves Tinker, the cat. Tinker does not love Gracie. Therein lies the dilemma.
We introduced Gracie into our household about a year ago. Gracie was instantly curious about Tinker, and Tinker wanted nothing to do with this foreign, noisy, big-nosed intruder.
Tinker did not help her cause. She has a nasty habit of exercising her claws on our furniture. Before…

Imagine our surprise when Gracie was invited this past winter to be an amateur therapy dog for our Nordic skiing students with autism. On a good day, Gracie will obey the sit command and, with proper treats, will do a variety of cute tricks. On most days, it is highly unlikely that she will sit, stay and come if there are more interesting people, animals, or…

We have had Gracie for a year now, and she is a true delight - albeit a very expensive one.
We have had many visits and calls to our vet, Dr. Sue, in the last year - about everything from after-effects of eating a rotten rodent to sunblock ingestion (most of which shot into her ear when she first bit the container). Dr. Sue has a…

Hi Barbara - I've got this routine going now - and I'm almost on auto-pilot :) I brush them good after our morning walk and I've given up my mani's and pedi's and eating out a lot to afford baths for them on Friday! We will skip a few here and there, but usually not often in the summer months. Leo is an outdoors freak and he loves to get dirty! If need be I will invite them into the shower and hose their lower bodies down before dinner. It takes a few minutes, and they're white and fluffy again. Hope that helps - thanks for reading
Happy Birthday Barbara! Hope your day is wonderful with lots of fun, love, celebrations and most of all big Doodle Kisses from Gracie!
How is Gracie doing with the peeing in the house? I only suggested the vet because it seemed out of character for Gracie from your post. Hopefully, she has stopped. Good luck!!
