I'm originally from Cincinnati, OH, now living across the river in Covington, KY. I work in association management, and practice and enjoy the arts. I love a variety of music but classic jazz is my favorite. Check out my playlist. I'll spare you the autoplay! Murphy's favorite is Brubeck's Unsquare Dance. She follows the drumstick sound around the room thanks to my home theatre system and can't find quite seem to find where they're coming from. ;-)
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Murphy is an female apricot F1B mini goldendoodle. She was born May 22, 2009 and was 35 lbs on her first birthday. I like what another member said about her mini: "She's big enough that I don't have to worry about stepping on her and small enough that I don't have to worry about her stepping on me." ;-) Don't get me wrong. If I had a larger yard, I'd love a standard goldendoodle, too. It would be worth being stepped on every once in a while. ;-)
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I like the breed's temperament, intelligence, and hybrid vigor. They are also freakishly cute.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Play. Explore. Hunt (but not eat) lightning bugs. Nap on the couch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Go to work. (I have a dog-friendly employer.)
Lucy Loo and I want to say hello to a fellow Kentuckian who loves Doodles. We live in Elizabethtown, Ky. Lucy is 3 and we are waiting for our 2nd Doodle sometime in March. Hope to chat with you more.
Yea Troy's one of my favorites also. I really believe him being hurt last year is what really hurt them. I thinks it's great that your employer lets you bring Murphy to work. Probably due to him being a Steeler fan.
Hey Brian. Yea we Steeler fans are not all bad. Not many Bengal fans around here. We do have one thing in common though. We can agree we both hate the Ravens though!!
I like the nickname speedbump, that's cute. Lucy has been called Phantom, but I'm not totally sure of the true definition. If you are referring to the 2009 Romp Around The World here in Cincinnati she was there. When she first started turning from black to the silver color we were a little disappointed, but I now love her coloring because she is so unique. I particularly love her ears .... we call them the Cruella De Ville ears (from 101 Dalmations) as they are very black and white). Murphy's puppy pic is adorable .... you gotta get some updated ones on here so we can see her now! I totally imagine she is adorable! She is a great size at 35 lbs.

Hi Brian .... we are just east of Cincinnati. I like your comments about either stepping on them or being stepped on. I also thought a larger dog would be nice for that very reason ..... however, I find myself stepping on either Lucy or Sophie all the time. They are constantly under my feet. Difference is, it isn't as hard to hurt them by stepping on them when they are larger!
