My husband and I live in Fargo, North Dakota...we are from Eugene, Oregon. We moved to Fargo two years ago for my husbands job. We have always wanted a dog...in Eugene we felt that we worked too much to care for a dog. The transition to Fargo from Eugene was very difficult and I was not working...so we thought it would be the perfect time to add a dog to our family. Our friends in Portland have a Doodle and I immediately fell in love with these wonderful animals. I knew I wanted a Doodle...so I researched breeders and settled on Spring Creek Labradoodles and in May of 2008 flew out to Oregon to get our Beloved Spencer and bring him home to Fargo.

It would have been great if they had bee littermates, but alas they aren't. Ned is and ALD but isn't from Spring Creek. He is from Stargazer labradoodles in California and just got into the medium size rather than mini. Spencer (love his name ) looks quite a bit larger than Ned. Ned is 17" tall and 27 pounds. Since they are both ALD's they may share some ancestors. Ned has some from Tegan Park and some from Rutland Manor.
I am glad that you were personally spared flooding.
That's amazing! I try putting protective gear on my guys and they will try to sqirm out of it any way they can!
I will take our littly guys kayaking with me sometimes, and I think that they need eye protection from the sun. They don't like their Doggles at all, but will tollerate the life vests.
So, Ned and Spencer are birthday brothers! Too bad the St. Paddy Day smilies are gone - Ned could really welcome Spencer and wish him a belated b'day in Irish style. Ned is an ALD - 17" tall, weighs 27 pounds, and is from Stargazer Labradoodles in the Ca. central coast area. We have a dog named Simon! My cousins grew up in H.B. and graduated from Edison in the late 60's to 70's. Their names are Tom Budd, Scott Budd and Ron Budd. Scott and Ron may have played soccer and/or wrestled. I am having senior moment trying to remember if they were on high school teams! I live in Riverside - inland about 50 miles.

What I meant to say in my comment to your picture was "Spencer....YOU are too cute for words!"
(I'm afraid old age is catching up with me.)
You are just one of the cutest doodles that I have ever seen, and I like to check for new photos of you from time to time.
