We are a pet-loving family, my partner, son and myself. We found all these wonderful Doodles online while we were looking for a new family member pet. We immediately fell in love with the Doodles we saw on the rescue sites, and we fell in love with the enthusiasm of other Doodle owners. Our other two dogs (both shelter puppies, one a lab and one a...well...shelter puppy) passed away in recent years and we were finally ready to bring another beautiful life into our family. And we were lucky to have just done so...yesterday. More about Leah in a minute.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We just adopted our beautiful Leah from RescueDoodle. We are sooooo in love with her already, we can't imagine doing anything without her. She's lying at (or on) my feet at this very moment. She is an F1 Labrador/Poodle Doodle, and we've guessed her to be approximately 19 months old. Given her incredibly sweet disposition, we picked February 14th, Valentine's Day, for her formal birth-day. Leah is getting used to our other pets, 3 shelter kitties. The kitties are quite used to dogs, but I'm not sure Leah has ever seen kitties before. She thinks they're unusually large squirrels, I think, but she has no interest whatsoever in chasing them. In fact, all are quietly napping in the room with me right now.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Rescue
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We love the personality of labs, and we have always heard about the smarts and nobleness of the poodle. We'd also heard about the less "doggie odor" and shedding that sometimes comes with doodles. Plus, let's fact it...once we lied eyes on some pics and heard about their general disposition -- we knew we'd found a good match.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Well, having had her for less that 24 hours: tummy rubs, exploring, having her sleep at my feet, having her follow me everywhere (and I do mean, everywhere), watching our son's face light up when he sees Leah, and big hugs and kisses! What more in life is there?
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Myself and my son. He's already been brushing her.
Favorite Doodle Products?
Dunno, but we sure would like suggestions.

Would you be willing to Dog Sit on occasion for other DoodleKisses members? (You are NOT committing to anything by saying yes - you are just saying you might be willing to do this if you were acquainted with the other member and the circumstances were right.)
Thanks for filling me in! I am SO GLAD that Leah has you and your family (even the kitties, haha!). She is one lucky doodle! I can just imagine her running up the stairs to get Ian in the morning! She's as smart as a whip and think she can be trained to do whatever you want her to! Doodlekisses to all of you!
Hey! Hope you, Carol and Ian had a good weekend with Sweet Leah! I am sure she is loving being with such an active family! Knox and I continue to miss her and would love an update when you have a few minutes! Doodle hugs from Bryan!!
