I am a forester so spend half my working time in the field and half in the offfice. Cody accompanies me to work about half time and is a great office mascot and field companoin. He strongly prefers the field days, but certainly has his favorite office folks also. He lies in the doorway of my office so that he can look both ways to see who's coming and going. The rythmic thumping of his tail against the door announces a visitor of which he gets many.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Chocolate Australian Labradoodle
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
I choose a doodle because of the qualities of the breed; specifically the look and temperment. The non-sheding aspect is certainly also a plus.
My name is Nancy Kronen, and my husband Andrew and I found this website yesterday 05/23/10 while visiting the Springcreek Labradoodles page. We found Tracey's post (her Labradoodle's name is Hazel). Our Labradoodle Charlie is Hazel and Cody's brother. :)
We live in Seattle, WA with our boy Charlie. He is the third doodle born from Cherish & Noble's very small first litter three years ago, and we were really happy to find Charlie's siblings on this website! Cody is beautiful!
He's a very sweet, loving, funny and gentle guy. We're very lucky to have him in our lives. Happy 3rd birthday to Cody!
Hi Daryl and Cody! My husband and I just looked at your pictures of Cody! He is so beautiful! We will add some more pictures of Spencer soon. We are hoping to return to Eugene this summer...and would love to connect with you! Are there many Doodle Romps in the Willamette Valley? I notice that you are a forester...do you happen to know Tom Gieson - he got his Masters at OHSU in forestry. We spent a lot of time mountain biking the old logging roads out of Alpine with Tom...he knew the area so well.
I love the new pictures you posted of Cody. I am showing my co-workers the hallway shot of Cody lying at the door of your office. That's EXACTLY what Hazel does! I'll take a picture of her doing just that. It will amaze you. Talk about separated at birth!
Who is your breeder? Cody looks a lot like Louie did as a baby. We got him from Spring Creek. Also, how old is Cody? Louie is 8 months (in a few days) and still dark chocolate, but we are wondering if he will lighten up like his parents. He has a cute while streak on his tail.
Thanks for reaching out to us. I was hoping to connect with you, as sharing things between littermates is the best of all. Cody and Hazel sound like they have a lot in common. We've had a great winter. Hazel loves the snow and we've been lucky to have quite a bit in Boise and in the Sawtooth wilderness where we spend a lot of our time XCountry skiing and snowshoeing. Hazel is a great trail dog so I can imagine how nice it is to have Cody accompany you during your forestry field work. She's long and shaggy at the moment, but the snow and wet has taken a toll on her hair and we are going to have to have a serious grooming here soon to remove the mats. I love her shaggy though. Cody looks just like her but maybe a little lighter. Hazel is still pretty dark but is getting a lot of white hairs throughout her coat. I don't mind as we still think she is beautiful.
I hope we can keep in touch. We'd love to continue hearing from you. I need to post more pictures! Take care....
