Hi Debbie (Willow's Mommy!),
I'm logged in all the time, but it doesn't mean I'm looking at DK, and sorry I didn't get your message in time. Welcome to DK! I found DK more than a year after we got Willow, so by then, a lot of puppy issues had been passed. But I'm still learning a lot, and this is a fun place to be.
My Willow's name came from the breeder, but we've already had dogs named after tree, so it was just perfect. It's a great name, isn't it?
I'll look forward to your Willow's pictures!
Hi Debbie - Welcome to Doodle Kisses. I noticed you already posted regarding grooming. You might like to join the grooming group because there is a ton of info there. I have an Australian labradoodle who has a fleece coat and it is relatively easy to keep up with as long as I give a daily brushing. I have done this since he was a puppy, so he is used to it. When they start going through the coat change (from puppy to adult) somewhere around six months of age - through to one year approx is the time they really get mats if their coat is not brushed frequently. Since they do not shed, they need regular brushing to get out that puppy coat. I would recommend the Les Pooch brush - I bought the yellow one when Charlie was a puppy and I am still using it 1.5 years later. They are a little pricey, but worth it. Good luck with your new little one. They are just the cutest, sweetest puppies in the world.
Welcome to the site,
