I'm so sorry to hear that you're having health issues Eric. This getting older thing is not always easy. it seems that there' sang awful lot on your plate this year. I'll keep you all in my prayers.
Hi Eric, Was thinking about you and wondering how Cooper is coming along. It's been awhile since I've heard from you....hoping time has been good. As always, sending positive thoughts your way!
I hope the rains have stopped for you! Eighteen inches???!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your roof. It seems it's always something with our houses....never ending. I do hope Cooper shows even small signs of improvement. Give him a big hug for me.
Eric, I'm just reading this and feel overcome with sadness for your sweet guy. Please don't blame yourself for his unfortunate accident. What would or could you have done to prevent it....keep the dogs leashed? I've thought of you and Cooper often when I see Banjo running wildly through the woods in our backyard. He's a maniac....and the joy on his face is the reason I don't curtail his running. I know full well there is risk involved....it's rocky terrain with plenty of fallen twigs and branches. But, I can't imagine taking that joy away from him. You can't blame yourself.....you were letting your dogs be dogs. I don't know you (in person), but I do know that you're a champion of dogs and couldn't not possibly give your dogs a better life.
I'll continue to pray that the work you're doing with him begins to bring improvement. Hugs to you both.
I hope Cooper continues to improve Eric. Also hoping he isn't in any discomfort and will begin to use his injured leg again.....perhaps he's just being "careful" and has lost some muscle, hence the 3 legged walking continues. If you really think it's pain related, once the healing is complete, maybe some deep tissue massage may help. I had fractured my shoulder and arm over a year ago and felt pain for almost a year after, until in desperation, I went for a massage and after one session I had no more pain!
The razor burn will heal quickly I'm sure....I'm sure you must have felt terrible! I can't even trim Banjo's nail without causing bleeding. I have to leave all of that to our groomer....I just don't have the knack for any of the grooming.
Thanks for the update....will continue to keep you all in my prayers!
Hi Eric......Have been thinking of you all down there in NC. I hope Cooper is doing better than the last time we "talked". It's been over a month now.....hoping all is back to normal.
Eric, I'm so sorry to hear this. It's so scary to think how easily our dogs can get hurt...by no fault of our own. I can only imagine how stressful all of this has been for you. I'm happy to hear that Claire is alright and will keep sweet Cooper in my prayers. I hope the x-ray shows good healing....please keep me posted. Hang in there....better days are coming for all of you!
