Hi Janet-I see you have a long wait for your baby too.  Maybe we can commiserate!  Patience is a virtue but it is so difficult!  On the up side, we have plenty of time to learn what to do when they arrive!!!

Janet, Congratulations!! I was very impressed with everything I read about Smeraglia. When our puppy was 6 weeks we went to visit the breeder and was then even more impressed. Our Zoe is such a balanced and sweet dog - can't praise Smeraglia enough on both their approach to breeding (personality #1) and the wonderful nurturing Zoe must have received while there.
I'd really encourage you to sign up to Smeraglia's Facebook Group - very active, and really nice to get to know more "family members"

Would love to! By then Holmes will have all his shots and I can finally socialize him more :) There's a Central TX Group here... but not much activity on it....

Thanks for the recommendation: I will check out Fidelio Dogworks when Holmes gets older and after the puppy training/manners class. I've realized I've got this major hangup wanting my dog to be obedient because no one else will listen to me in this house!!! haha-- meaning I don't have obedient kids or husband :) But I guess that's the way it should be.

OK, did you mean to put your profile pic. upside down? Because it's very eye-catching.

We lived in some apts. on Barton Creek Blvd. for 2 mos. before we moved out here. Nice area. This is my first puppy... and I think it'll be my last! haha Lots of work, but I knew that going in. It's amazing to me how much it's like having a baby, except for the crate part :) There's a puppy training class starting up out here near me that I'm enrolling Holmes in. When it starts he'll be 12 weeks old. I want to start NOW but my first choice for a private trainer was booked up. Ah well. 

Long wait to Sept. but at least you'll be getting good sleep :) that's something I miss!
