I am a retired second grade teacher. I started breeding Australian Labradoodles in 2004 so I would have something fun to do. It has been that and more!
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have four Australian Labradoodles. Chiffon, Katerina and Coco are all Tegan lines. Titan, our stud is Rutland lines. They are all fantastic and all different! I have a little doggy rainbow. Chiffon is a cafe'. Katerina is cream, Coco dark chocolate. And Titan is an apricot.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Chiffon was my first labradoodle. I saw her picture and was smitten. It just spoke to me. I had never seen or met a labradoodle at that time. Three months later I had her imported from Australia, in whelp, in a leap of faith! She stepped off the plane and was even more gorgeous than I had imagined. I felt I had the perfect dog!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Play in the snow, go for walks in the woods, and hang out in the house are some of the things we like to do. Titan likes to help me find the laundry in our bedrooms, Kat and Coco are big helpers in the kitchen and Chiffon watches all the windows for deer, squirrels and cats. When she sees anything interesting she alerts the other dogs and they all run to check it out!
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I have a mobile groomer who comes to my house!
Favorite Doodle Products?
LesPooches dematting brush. I couldn't get by without it!

I would love to have you see him too. Higby is the most perfect dog I've ever known. He is so special to Steve and me. His companionship and ability to read minds is astounding! It's amazing how he senses what needs to happen with small children and with adults who are uncomfortable around dogs. He's just the most favored pet that ever occupied a family! Thank you so much for making him possible!!
Hi Jackie, I had a question about brushing Finn. We're not really sure the brush we have is the right kind. What kind of brush do you use? We brush him every few days but it seems to hurt him a little. It pulls his hair quite a bit. Any suggestions? Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!
Hi! Finn is definitely getting BIG! Lately, we've noticed his tale and ears are getting longer :) He's getting more curly, too. He's all potty trained. No accidents for a month! He rings the bell when he wants to go outside which is really great. He's going to obedience training and has made friends with some other dogs there. He's so smart. Everyday we're just so happy that we have him. School hasn't quite started yet so I've been bringing him to the staff meetings. He's really calm. Everyone comments about what good behavior he has...after he settles down :) I've had more people stop me and ask about him and say 'that's the kind of dog I want to get next!" Hehe. Anyhow, we're coming to Longview on the 19th. If you're around we'd love to stop by!
Hi Jackie, thanks for the invite. Finn just got his last shots a couple weeks ago and we've been taking him out and about every day to meet other people and dogs. Everyone comments about how cute he is and how he's very well behaved. We start puppy kindergarten tomorrow. Hope all is well.
