- About Me:
- My wife and I are both retired and had to put down our 17-year-old cockapoo in October of 2007. We thought this would be our last dog, but after having dogs for many years we had to get another one. We are in the process of getting our dog certified as a therapy dog because we have a lot of time take him to various places and he has an excellent temperament. He keeps us busy and active which is good.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- We have a goldendoodle and some tropical fish. Our dog, Woody, is 19 months old. His mother is a golden retriever and his father is a white standard poodle. He took most of his father's genes and looks more like a poodle. Most people we meet think he is a poodle.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- All of our previous dogs have been poodle mixes and we wanted to stay with either a poodle or a poodle mix. After seeing some doodles we just couldn't resist their cute faces. We got sucked in.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Right now we are concentrating on training so he can pass the therapy dog test. We like to take him with us wherever we go. Once he becomes certified as a therapy dog we are looking forward to visiting various places such as nursing homes, hospitals and schools.
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- Nope!
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- A groomer who we have been with for 16 years.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- Any doodle paraphernalia.
