About Me:: Married, mother of 2 boys ages 8 and 12. I'm self employed.
Grew up on the East Coast riding and showing horses and ponies. Now I enjoy spending time with my family at home or on the OBX in Kitty Hawk NC.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: Every doodle I have met I have loved and wanted one. We have allergy issues so low to non shedding is a great help. I have 2 active boys one who is high-functioning autistic so we needed a very family friendly dog. We spend a lot of time in or around water so we wanted a water dog. I also wanted a large dog that could ward off strangers but not be aggressive. A doodle is perfect fit for our family.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Play fetch, run on the beach and cuddle on the floor. We love his soft furry coat.
I feel much safer at home alone now with him there. He is very sweet but if anyone comes to the door he will bark and growl like a big scary dog..lol.. I'm like, "where did that come from?!"

Would you be willing to Dog Sit on occasion for other DoodleKisses members? (You are NOT committing to anything by saying yes - you are just saying you might be willing to do this if you were acquainted with the other member and the circumstances were right.): Yes

I brush and comb but do not groom my own dogs. I have NO skill with scissors - my daughter grew out her bangs as soon as she was old enough to state a preference because I always cut them crooked! LOL
