Hi, I am a social worker who has lived in Arizona for about 20 years. I was an elementary school social worker for many years and recently changed jobs. I am now working with adults with substance abuse issues. I also volunteer at my grand daughters school. I am married with 2 children.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have 2 wonderful Labradoodles. My oldest, Dakota, is a chocolate Labradoodle, he's almost 3. My youngest, Daisy, is cream, when she's not muddy! Daisy is almost 1. Dakota is a therapy dog and we are Delta certified and Daisy is just starting training. Dakota and I volunteer with the kids at a domestic violence shelter and we recently started working with autistic children at one of my old schools.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
My husband has real bad allergies and I heard this breed worked well with people who ahve allergies. I researched the breed, saw some dogs and fell in love with them.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
swim, swim and swim some more. They can never get enough.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
A little bit but nothing major
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
I take them to Petsmart for baths and Daisy gets clipped, Dakota doesn't.
Favorite Doodle Products?
It's not specifically for doodles but, I recently bought this bucket with a stand you put in the grass. You put water and other things in it and freeze it. When it's frozen, you screw it onto the stand and they have a really big popsicle. My dogs love carrots, so I throw some into it and they will lick it forever to get at the carrots. great for Arizona!

Hi Kris,
It was really nice to see you yesterday. We had a good time and there lots of doodles, but the park got crowded pretty fast and we had the two recovering men with us who tire out fast...lol. Hope to do this more often!
Susan
Welcome to DoodleKisses. I just saw your picture and Dakota reminds me of my doodle, Hondo. I see that you are in Arizona and we have lots of connections there. My father-in-law just sold his summer place in Pinetop and is going to be living full time in Yuma. We are going there for Thanksgiving. I have a hard time with the heat in Arizona in the summer, but from Thanksgiving to Easter is a great time to visit there.
Welcome Kris! So glad to have you join us...we have a number of members from AZ and a group just for AZ'ers--you might meet some people near you =) That bucket sounds fun...I've thought about buying something similar. Your therapy work sounds really neat too. Rosco and I visit our Juvenile Detention Center--I may need some tips from you!
