About Me:: I live in the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri. I have 2 kids; my daughter is married and is pursuing her Masters degree. My son is a senior in college pursuing his Bachelors degree. I am now an empty nester. I live with my husband and my labradoodle, Cooper. Cooper has canine epilepsy.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Cooper is my labradoodle and I love him to pieces! Unfortunately he has canine epilepsy. He is currently on Potassium Bromide to try to control the monster.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: They are loyal, smart, and just plain fun. Also he does not shed.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Cuddle, play fetch and just love on!

Would you be willing to Dog Sit on occasion for other DoodleKisses members? (You are NOT committing to anything by saying yes - you are just saying you might be willing to do this if you were acquainted with the other member and the circumstances were right.): Yes

At 7:07pm on July 31, 2012, Suzanne & Jack said…: Welcome Lisa, we also had a dog with epilepsy. He was a 65 lb giant schnauzer mix. At one point he was taking 7 Phenobarbitol a day. We were fortunate that his seizures seemed mild. He was seizure free as long as he took his medicine. When he died from cancer at the age of 13 we found that he had been stashing his pills under the guest bed.
