Lynn, so sorry about Luigi, you were both lucky to have found each other. You are a kind soul for adopting him and a lovey person for letting him go in peace.
Hi Lynn! I have a doodle in Winston and I utilize two different services in the triad for my pup. The first is a dog walking service based out of Greensboro. They are very professional, friendly, and puppy loving. I use them on a daily basis and I think they are willing to do overnight care but it may be pricey. Here is their website: http://www.3pooches.com/
The second service I use is a doggy day care in Kernersville. It's a GREAT place for dogs to get energy out. My puppy comes home absolutely exhausted which I love! Here is their website: http://www.doggonefunnc.com/training.htm
Hope one of these helps! The picture on your profile really reminds me of my Peaches when she was a few months younger! Good luck!
Lynn, there is a member on here called Jacquie Yorke who is the founder and Executive Director of Doodle Rescue Collective, Inc. The website is www.doodlerescuecollectiveinc.org, maybe have a look on there and see if there is a doodle close by that needs a home. I recently helped them ship a super cute black doodle to one of the other members, as part of a doodletrain. Good Luck and keep us posted!
Sorry that you did not get the doodle that you were hoping for, but do not be discouraged. Now that you have opened your hearts to the thought of another doodle, keep checking around. The right dog will come available. We lost my best dog ever in September, and our other doodle was so depressed I started looking immediately for another doodle. Within ten days, I had a replacement ALD, and the dogs are doing well now. My ALD was an overaged puppy that I got from a breeder at a very reasonable price. Keep looking, it is worth the search.
Lynn, I read your post about getting a second doodle. I would move on, the price is too high, anything over 500 to 700 would be too much. This breeder should be more concerned about finding a home for this doodle than making a profit. I hope you find your second doodle soon, I love having my two. Barb
