What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

We have GusGus our black goldendoodle. A stroke of genius on my part. A mixture of dumb luck and desire as to how we scored Gus from the pet store. I am a true golden retriever lover and I grew up raising poodles. It is only natural that I have the best of both worlds with this mixed breed. Gus has a big sister Emmy and a little brother Ollie who is a schnauzer and a real S%#t. but Gus loves him. Gus is brilliant sweet fun and athletic. He is also a great watch dog. His bark can scare your skin off.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

I first fell in love with pictures of golden doodles researching information about my beloved golden retriever, Emmy. Obsessed with obtaining one ever since. Sticker shock kept me at bay until one of my dogs died and my son asked for a dog for his birthday. Long story short found us on his birthday on the internet in the evening with no gift for my son and my wife got this brilliant idea to find him a dog before he got back from Kings Island. She found 3 dogs in Dayton Ohio and off we went at 7:30 at night for a 50 mile drive. I spend more time deciding on which head of lettuce to buy than when I met Gus. I walked up to his cage at three months old and opened his cage, he came out licked my face once and I carried him to the cashier. 5 seconds tops.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Gus loves to jump. He will try to clear anything. People, chairs , Hammocks(held up vertically) anything. Height, distance, it doesn't matter. He loves balls too. NO, not that kind, He loves to fetch, he is obsessed with any kind of ball from a tennis ball to a volleyball to football. He loves it and I love it too.

Favorite Doodle Products?

Kong balls. Gus loves to chew on them Nylabone towels to tug on. GusGus's favorite toy is Emmy. He loves to wrestle with her. He also loves on her like a mommy. The affection he shows her is heart warming. She is aging real fast and won't be here much longer, but she loves Gus's affection and we all will be very sad when she is gone. She was born in may 1996
