I'm a 25 year old city girl living in SF with my husband. Apart from working in the book business, I am also an obsessed dog person.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
My husband and I have just mailed in our deposit for an F1B Goldendoodle pup from The Paw Pad Doodles in Illinois, for the 2013 summer litter. We're super excited!!!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
Being a dog lover, but also having mild asthma, I've been searching for breeds that would be conducive to my condition. Having grown up with a Golden retriever-whose hair did cause me slight irritations, but not too much-I could not bring myself to consider another breed. When I found out about Goldendoodles, I was beyond thrilled!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
I imagine us taking him for long walks, to the park, for beach romps, hiking, and of course, cuddling on the couch together. :)
Relationship Status:

Hi Pooja, Thank you for the friend request. I'm happy to accept. Bet you are getting excited about your new doodle. Just remember puppies are wonderful and fun, but also a lot of energy and lots of work too. I would definitely recommend obedience classes. It's a great way to bond with your puppy and also have him get used to being with other dogs... not to mention to get the basics of training. Bella and I began our classes last Sunday. Actually, I wish I had signed up earlier as Bella is almost 7 months now. Potty training is very important. Personally, I've had a lot of luck by always using a leash and taking my puppy our whenever they finish an activity......when they wake up, before they go to sleep, after playtime, after eating. I take her to a certain spot in the yard and use an expression, such as get busy and just wait until she does. Once she has done what she is out there to do, I praise her. Bella was trained in less than two weeks.... of course, I didn't get her until she was 15 weeks old. Now she goes on command. Are you planning on crate training your new puppy? Well, you have plenty of time to plan on how you are going to go forward with your puppy routine. I'll be anxous to see photos once your new baby has arrived. Have a great weekend!
