- About Me:
- I've had a lot of dogs in my life but I never really understood how much they can really become your children until I got my Socs. He's my pride and joy, my baby and my best friend! He makes me smile every time I look at him, and he makes me laugh about something everyday. Life is just better with him around!!
I foster with IDOG (International Doodle Owners Group), an experience that is great for both Socs and myself, we look forward to helping many Doodles find their forever homes!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Socrates is an Apricot colored standard F1 Goldendoodle. He is the sweetest, smartest, most affectionate dog I have ever seen! This little boy defines the term 'companion animal.' He is happiest just hanging out with us, regardless of what we are doing. He also loves going for runs, riding in the car and being carried like a little baby, even though he has far surpassed the size of a lap dog! We also have 2 cats, Cinnamon and Guido. Socs is pretty indifferent to them, unless they try to snuggle with him - he's not a fan of that!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I have wanted a dog for some time but was unable to have one in my college apartment. I had plenty of time to research different breeds, and once I stumbled upon the Goldendoodle I knew I had to have one! I have read only positive things about the breed, and my Socrates has proved every one of those things true!
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- I love to snuggle with him, he's very fluffy! We also love to go for walks and play tug of war. Just watching him be a silly puppy makes me happy!
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- A little bit but nothing major
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- I do, but he goes to a local groomer every few months for a thorough bath and trim.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- We would be lost without the Kong toys!! Socs pretty much destroys every toy I give him except his Kongs. They keep him entertained while I'm at work. The Martha Stewart Pets Slicker Brush is one of the best I've found to keep his fur matte free between groomings. The groomer showed me how to do the tap n pull method of brushing and this works like a charm! The Furminator de-matter and detangler is also great, but I usually just have the groomer do a Furminator treatment every few trips in.

Samantha I just looked at your slideshow of Socs and he is absolutely adorable. You can tell that little guy (actually big guy) has lots of personality. I love your photos and my favorite is #l on the slideshow, it is beautiful and what a handsome Dood!

That sounds great! I currently am working until 6:00 every night, but starting in July I should be done each day by 2 or 3:00, so maybe that would work better. Do you think there's somewhere we could meet? We don't have a fenced in yard so we have to take her to friends and families houses to borrow their yards. What about you?
You are really close to us! Maybe in the spring we can set up a play date, It would be fun to see Holly interact with another doodle her age, I'm sure she would love it :). How much does Socrates weigh? He is a very cute puppy! Keep in touch!
