I'm wondering if folks can comment on Nexgard, which just works if the tick bites the dog, versus Frontline Plus, versus Frontline Tritak, which seems to repel ticks but also has the greatest number…Continue

Portuguese Water Dog?  I love them, and even before the Obama's got theirs.  But, truly, you will like doodles even more.

And this lady who is a hobby breeder with her one dog.  She has done full health testing, researched the best stud for her female.  She sends e-mails like this with pictures of the pups actually doing the things she tells about.   This is her dog's second litter.

                                 Curiosity Period (5-7 weeks)

Hershey is feeding her pups less with shorter times at the dairy bar .  Not that I blame her the pups have sharp teeth.  Hershey and Sydney teach/play with the puppies and continue to clean them up after their messy cereal eating.  When the pups bite each other and one cries out both Hershey and Sydney come running back to check up on them.  The puppies are very curious now wanting to run, investigate and taste everything.
During this period, many new objects are introduced, ramps, tunnels, cardboard boxes, interactive toys with sound, rope toys, stuffed toys and anything else we can think of. The puppies are encouraged to follow our voice and will spend time outside with us next week. Handling continues while making eye contact and talking to the puppies.  When I tap on the floor now the pups come running and when I whistle they know it's meal time.  When they eat it sounds like a herd of horses galloping, then they burp to show their appreciation.
hugs,
Carolyn and Hershey kisses

My vision was to have 4 pups sit on the rocker and 2 sit under the rocker with Hershey sitting beside them.......this was as close as I could get.
Orchestrating 6 puppies in a photo is always challenging.

Wendy, I looked at Nicole's post below and went to the Pine Ridge Doodles site.  They are an example of what you might not want to look at  without lots of personal research contact. They do NOT tell you about the parent dogs; they do not mention health testing; you don't even know how many dogs they own and what breeds they are.  Look at this site as an example for comparisons:  http://www.cliberdoodle.com/details.html       http://www.gemstonelabradoodles.ca/      http://www.tuscanridgelabradoodles.com/    http://www.almondblossompoodles.com/index.html  http://www.gailslabradoodles.com/studs.htm

Notice how they tell you about the parent dog's health testing. If they don't give specific scores, you simply contact them and they should be happy to send them to you. These are breeders who have healthy parent dogs (as much as genetic testing can tell), think about the pairing of the parents.  I am not advocating any of these breeders as I haven't personally contacted them, but just want you to look at their sites to learn what to look for.

I LOVE the way you are really researching to find the best breeder and the best dog for you.

Hi Wendy. First and foremost, I absolutely 110% recommend PRG. I would love to talk you about my experience with them and how unbelievably happy I am with Luna. She truly is an awesome dog--and I'm not being bias... (Well maybe a little bit lol) But really, everyone tells me how great she is. Personality, temperament, intelligence, and looks!! She's perfect! Shoot me an email with any questions or concerns you might have. I would love to tell you everything you need to know! nicolegf0323@gmail.com

hi Wendy ,,,,, The breeder we got Jada from is called Prairiedoodles.ca .They are in Alberta Canada . I know they ship  their pups  all over . We waited for jada for 6 months as I wanted a certain size and color . Once the mama was in heat she kept us up to date and answered all my e-mails .Each pup is fixed , chipped and all the first shots up to 8 weeks. they even had 2 teeth of jada removed so she would have a nice smile .lol   if I can down load a picture of Jada I will as she just beautiful . great temperment . As you can see we are totally happy with our new girl .
