We made it through spay/neuter surgery yesterday for both Sadie and Coal. What a stressful day of waiting! This was my first experience with spay/neuter as the mom of the puppies. It didn't seem…Continue

It has been quite a while since I have recorded the many adventures of Sadie and Coal. Having a high school senior and a freshman, along with a third grader, two wild doodles and 29 fifth graders keeps me busy... and when I'm not busy, my brain/body is completely useless!
Sadie and Coal will be a year old on November 25th, and we have come a loooooong way since…

Last night when we arrived home from our beach trip at 10 pm and unloaded the three kids and two dogs who were covered in drool and barf, my husband (who had stayed home "to work") said, "Yeah, I'm smarter than that..." He's only limping a little this morning. So the car sickness has not improved with age... the Dramamine, the crates and the other things we have tried do not seem to help consistently either. We have some meds from the vet which any sane person would have…

Well Doodle Friends, it has been a while... After all of our relaxing snow days, the last quarter of school was very hectic, with trying to make up for lost time with my fifth graders, spring sports and two growing puppies. Believe it or not, we made it to summer vacation with two puppies and three kids, and all are relatively unscathed!
Since our last update, we have been through a bad batch of food, puppy vaginitis and lots of growing. Karen, and lots of other wonderful DKers,…

Well our precious pups are growing like weeds. At almost 16 weeks, Coal is just under 20 pounds and Sadie is 18 pounds. They continue to be healthy and happy, and we continue to love them like crazy. Keeping them separate has provided us with bonding time and is allowing their personalities to really shine. Sadie is a momma's girl and Coal is a snuggle bug. So, that all sounds great, right? It is, and it isn't...
With one puppy, being a puppy parent is tough enough, but there…

Is Coal the one on the right in your avatar? I just love the legs spread apart and pigeon-toed out. Too funny - adorable and funny at the same time! My kid did that when he was still learning to grow into his long legs. He still does it at times - so cute! Sadie and Coal are both gorgeous!
I wanted to let you know I've started a group on Facebook called 'Charlotte Doodle Romp'. Waffles and I are excited to get together with other Doodles and their owners in the greater Charlotte area!
Find us on Facebook and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

Thanks so much for the friend request! Looking forward to hearing more about Sadie and Coal!
Thank you Ashley for your kind comments. Congrats to you on your new family members!!! They are simply adorable. It was Banjo who got me interested in photography.....I think you may find it happens to you too!
Thanks Ashey! I have so much to learn too. I have a Canon SW40 that is a bridge camera which I love. Now I would like to a DSLR, but I really have not mastered the camera I have. Some day soon, I hope to take the DSLR step. I just hate to think about carry around that equipment, lenses, etc. The iphones are so marvelous for quick photos. See you on DK
Thank you for the friend request. I love all your photos of your new little doodles. They are so precious. Looking forward to watching them grow-up on this site. If you have any interest in photography, you should join the photography group. It is very active and I have learned so much from it. At least I can take a little better photo. LOL
Once again welcome.
Hi Ashley ~ Looking forward to photos of your new doodles! You are going to be super busy with two! LOL You are brave, I could only handle one puppy at a time. We have two doodles too (Charlie is 3 and Beau D is now 1.5 and they are inseparable). Welcome to Doodle Kisses!
