About Me:

I have always owned a dog for as long as I can remember. Our last fury friend passed away 3 years ago and we decided since we were empty nesters we would try living without a pet for a while. Something was always missing. We got Faye-Joy in March 2015 after we had an attempted home invasion in the wee hour of the night while my husband was out of town.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

We have a golden doodle and her name is Faye-Joy. Faye had a rough start and was almost sent to the doodle rescue. When we took her home from the pet store she had a high fever and had been on medicine(which I was not informed about). Her fever raged for several days without me knowing. Upon her first visit to the vet she became extremely aggressive in the car and snarled/growled at my husband when he tried to move her over on the car seat. That frightened us, and sent us on this downward spiral about what to do with this aggressive dog. We have grandchildren that we wanted to intergrade with our new pet and this concerned us. Once we went into the vet and found out that Faye had a 104 temp we felt awful for not knowing. She was so playful and eating, sleeping, all the puppy stuff. Anyway, I debated keeping this puppy for a while, it was agonizing. But we decided to stick it out, give her the medicines and the benefit of the doubt and get her well. She has never done that again and is the love of my life. I believe it was the raging fever that just made her irritable.She is just perfect and I thank God every day that he gave me the insight to stick it out with my little Faye-Joy. Although, she is quite hyper and full of sooooooo much energy she loves us and we her. That's her story.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

Everything I read said they were bred to be hypoallergenic and would not shed. They were half right.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

She is only 4 months old but we love going to the park for long walks and some Frisby playing.

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

I brush her, but do not have a groomer yet
