Saturday, I had plans that didn’t involve the boys – imagine that? My daughter was out with friends for the weekend, my husband and son were together doing “manly” things and I had plans to do something…

Thanks for coming back for part 2….
So last week in “part 1″, I focused on the boys eating so much grass! They aren’t sick (at least not to my knowledge) when they ingest the “green blades of yum”, yet they continue to nibble when we’re outside. As I surfed the net looking for information, I began to think about all the other “bad things” they could get into to include inside our own home.
In my internet travels I stumbled upon a phone app (right now…

If every command worked as well as “sit” – what a wonderful world this would be! Puppies must be “wired” in some form or fashion right before birth to understand and obey the word “sit.” Think about it, just about every dog ever born knows to put his backside down on the floor when he hears that word.
It’s the command that makes us all feel like “Dr. Doolittle.” I remember when Harley first “sat” down for me. I was so excited – think I…

IS IT GOOD OR IS IT BAD? THE THINGS THEY EAT… (PART 1)
“Why Does He Eat Grass?” (February 16) was the title of a blog about Harley who I thought might be part poodle, part retriever, and part cow! Since then, Leo has begun to nibble on a blade or two (or seven!) when we roam around the great outdoors. And they both have the nerve to be particular about which lawn to graze as if there are different flavors to choose from. I remember sharing a suggestion from Pet Med
“…buy a…

I cannot believe in just a few weeks, the boys and I will celebrate our first year as an “online publication.” When people use the term “time flies when your having fun”, they must have had me, the boys, and this blog in mind!…

This quote could easily be considered the perfect narrative of “Harley” and a little old “imaginary” man I call “Oliver.” For years we’ve said “Harley was a little old man who got in the wrong line up in heaven!” His antics can make you scratch your head in…

When I find something that works, I must share...
Harley and Leo are a challenge with “collars.” It’s not because they’re abusive with them, it’s because of their long hair. So many collars out there…

Last week our daughter boarded the train for an excursion to the “Big Apple.” She loves to travel and generally EVERY mini-vaca for her is like a box of Cracker Jacks - there is going to be some sort of surprise inside... she is a magnet for “serendipitous” adventures!…

I don’t know about the weather in your region, but here on the East Coast, tulips and pansies are out in full bloom, the dogwood trees have buds on them, and the grass is finally green! it’s a beautiful thing to see I say….
For my boys though, spring is like a traffic light stuck on “green” for GO-GO-GO to the backyard for ton’s of fun. I really do not let them out much in the backyard during the winter months (unless there’s snow) because it stays very…
