Today, our mom said she had to clean the house because she is going to Ohio for a shower this weekend. She said she doesn't know why she is bothering since dad is as messy as Vern. Anyway, she told us dad was going to be watching us this weekend and she said, "God help you!" whatever that means. Well, we decided since she had so much to do before Friday that we would help. Groundhog Day!

Last Wednesday evening, we had a terrible rain storm and our power went out for five hours. During this blackout, we noticed water pouring in from our basement window and the window well filling with water. We actually had about 12 inches of water that we could see, almost like a porthole in a ship, just rising and rising in that window well and several frogs swimming on top.
