Mariner Update

Since around Thanksgiving Mariner's problems with the seizures have been presenting more difficulties. After about 3 months being seizure free he started to have frequent seizures. This started after giving him the Heartgard Plus and Frontline Plus. We think that the Frontline may be lowering his seizure threshhold. But even as recently as this week he has had a seizure. Is there a connection between Heartworm medication (Heartgard Plus) and Seizures?

I'm sure I have written about this before.

Tonight Mariner had another seizure. He had Heartgard Plus 4 days ago. We have discontinued using the Frontline Plus as we feel that this may lower his seizure threshhold. Now this is the second time that he has had a seizure within 4 or 5 days of having the Heartgard Plus. This is to much to be a coincidence.

I am interested in knowing if anyone's dogs have had adverse reactions to heartworm medication, particularly…

Happy Thanksgiving & Mariner Update

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.



Mariner has had a rough time this past week. Last Wednesday night we gave all of our doodles their Heartguard and Frontline. The next couple of days Mariner was very lethargic.
