18 Degrees above normal!

Today, it was 18 degrees above normal. It was 71 degrees out! Great! Lots of "house" work to be done in weather like this! So, Jerome and I proceeded to each do some work. He likes the outdoor work, I like the indoor work. He cleaned the gutters and blew leaves and mowed the lawn. I cleaned windows and the marble bay window and marble under my indoor stove. Vacuumed the walls and ceilings in the house and dusted.

After cleaning the gutters, Samson was allowed out on the deck. Okay! Great Mom, I love being on the deck! And I decided to give him a new bone that I bought. It is the "busy bone". It was a hard bone like cookie with "stuff" inside. Well, I figured it would keep him busy outside. It did. But later, when I checked on Samson, half the bone was gone and his front paws were filled with icky gooey bacon smelling stuff!! Ugh!!! Okay, that's the LAST time I buy that stuff. I had to wipe down his paws with these doggie wipes I had. Then, towel him down. Oh, man. Don't buy those bones! I will never get them again. They smelled bad too.

I should have just given him the frozen kong filled with peanut butter I had in the freezer!

I learned my lesson. We went for a looooonnnnggg walk then and had a nice rest of the day!

Onto another week. It's Monday tomorrow!

We had a gorgeous day too. I put up my Christmas decorations outside :-) If I don't do it when it is warm than I don't do it.
