Okay, so I was up late last night reading in bad, while Lola was sleeping in her bed in the bathroom. She was so peaceful. The next time I looked up from my book I noticed that her bed had a darker color surrounding her. I went to go check on her and she peed in her sleep! That is right, she was sleeping and didn't even notice until I woke her up. I thought it was pretty funny so decided to share it. Has that happened to anyone else? Is this normal?

Kodie did that almost everynight when she was younger.....she would be sleeping on the floor by my bed, and I would hear her having a very "active" dream....then she would wet herself....sometimes just a bit, and, then sometimes enough to make her whole body all wet. She did grow out of it though....

Wow! I wouldn't know that. I will e-mail my vet now.

This is a serious problem, please call your vet. We used to raise Rotties and when our last Rottie was 15 years old she started doing this and we found out she had cancer... I dont think your dog has cancer but she could have a UTI, her bladder could be tipped the wrong way so it doesnt empty all the way. Anyway when dogs pee in their sleep it is called Urinary Incontinence and they usually need a med to help them.

We have that problem with Maddy. She's our shep/tree walker mix. We've taken her to the vet each time she's done it. His conclusion is/was that she's just a really sound sleeper! Dang!
