Explanation of racecar photos - When my husband retired, he decide to follow a passion for fast cars and data analysis. His latest raceteam is part of the Koni Series. The owner is a dog lover. The car is covered with dog bones. It costs 20.00 to buy one and put your dog's name on it. That's why Log Cabin Lucy is now on the race track. All proceeds are donated to a canine charity.

Attitude - Lucy is going through a bit of as rebellious stage. Her trainer says she is "giving me sass." So, of course, out comes the salad spray bottle.
Puppy class - The first week is supposed to be learning to sit and potty training hints. Lucy is already doing that, so I got a few tips to try and curb her jumping on people. It is definitley a work in progress as she loves everybody. After the formal class, is 15 minutes of free time for the dogs to mingle. Oh my goodness!!! Lucy was a wild thing. She was so happy she could barely control herself. The only other dog who would play with her was a beautiful black lab named Mr. Bean. I have tried very hard to expose Lucy to all sounds and experiences so that she would not be timid and afraid. Perhaps I have been way to successful as she is not afraid of anything.
First day at the groomer -Lucy got fluffed up this week. It's so nice to see her eyes again. The groomer called me when she got through, and told me that if I didn't pick Lucy up soon, her Dad would not let her go.
Ticks - Lucy and I are walking about 2 miles a day. Warning to everyone! She has had 4 ticks this week. She has her shots and the vet gave me medication today. Lucy is so sweet. She lets me go over her thoroughly and pull ticks without even a whimper.
Stealing - No intact coasters left. I can't find my slippers. Unfortunatlely, I can't remember if I hid them from Lucy or she hid them from me. She's tall enough to get in the shower and steal the facecloths. She prances when she gets away with stealing or finds a stick on the side of the road.
Laughs - This goofy dog brings out a laugh even when the stock market has tanked, and my 401K is going up in smoke. Fortunately, she doesn't care if her home is a castle or a camper, she loves us anyway.

Boy, Lucy and Emma are certainly sisters! Some of the behaviors you mentioned sound so familiar. We've now resorted to lemon juice when she nips, and now all I have to do is show her the bottle and she backs off! She, too, has become very proficient at stealing, and prances with whatever she's taken as though she's just so proud of herself. As for playing with other dogs, Emma loves that activity. I've been taking her to a dog park nearby and she has the most wonderful time running and like Lucy, isn't afraid of anything, though she is sometimes a drama queen and yelps, runs away, but then comes right back for more. Yes, these pups certainly have a way of wrapping us very tightly around their paws, don't they?
