Hi...this is Wheezy.....I'm ok now
but..... dog gone...this morning...I was really hurting.....
Ellie and me was romping around the house and mom
goes.....ok girls.....you two need to run some of that energy off outside....so
she opened the door and off Ellie and I went...while mom and dad sit and enjoyed
their coffee......
We was having a good time until a bee stung me in
the eye......you know I wasn't chasing it or anything.....that's my story and
I'm sticking to it......anyhow.....mom heard me at the front door and thought it
so was cute that I was laying down waiting for someone to let me
in.....but....when she let me and saw me pawing at my eye and acting all goofy
she got scared......it just hurt soo bad....but I wasn't crying and I didn't
even yelp outside. Ellie has never been stung so she didn't have a clue to what
was wrong. Ellie is a real girly, girl.....I'm more of a Tom boy.....don't get
me wrong...I have moments I like be a girly , girl....but not very many......I
like playing in the dirt and rolling in the grass, chasing bugs......I'm always
doing a sweep of the yard hunting for mud and critters. Ellie on the other
hand....she does help me chase the stray cats up the trees and out of our
yard...and she does run and wrestle with me......but she doesn't like getting
dirty....and she is sooo chicken of the dark!!!
Of course....that isn't really a bad
thing......mom let us out one night...and we chased a skunk......I didn't get as
close as Ellie.....we thought it was a cat......but when dad heard the noise he
came running and Ellie was kind of staggering back to the door.....she didn't
get sprayed directly....but ran through it and she smelled a little
toxic......*giggle*.....we have to learn the difference between a skunk and a
cat!!! Oh and one night there was a raccoon at the door....it was a sick
one....Doodle dad took care of it....but he wouldn't let us out.
Ok....I got off the subject.....my bee
sting......yes...it was bad.....Mom got on line and did a fast research of dogs
and bee stings....and she knew I wasn't having an allergic reaction....I was
breathing ok.....I didn't pass out.....I wasn't crying or foaming at the
mouth......so she read the next step.....make a baking soda paste and/or put a
cold compact on it......so she wrapped a ice pack in a rag and held it over my
eye....ahhhh...it felt so good....so I laid my head in her hand and let her keep
it on my eye. I finally felt like I had enough of the ice pack and she let me
rest. After about 2 hours I was opening my eye again.
I've been outside once since that happened.....I
think mom is scared I will try and play with more bees!!! She is hoping I
learned my lesson and I don't mess with bees anymore. I definitely don't want to
get stung like that again!!
Mom did a little video after I got settled down
and sucked up all the "oh...my poor Wheezy", Oh.... my poor poor
puppy".....I love hearing that.......shhhh......sometimes....I just have to give
mom a sad face and she is hugging me and giving me kisses....I just love
it......well....here is the video......Mom says I was a little trooper.....I
think I am too
