A Lily Update!

Wow, I just realized how long it's been since I've logged on to DK! I thought I would post a Lily update for any of you who remember the surgery she had over the summer on her broken leg.

The orthopedic surgeon was absolutely awesome and after a healing time of 8 weeks, you would never know she had wires and plates in her leg. Her leg looked a little funny shaved for a while, but it has totally grown in now and nothing holds her back at all! Lily loves running, fetching, jumping, playing... she really is doing wonderfully.

I am so grateful to our vet who took such amazing care of my girl. I think having a good vet is so important and I don't know what we would do without ours! To anyone in the Toronto area, I would highly recommend Leaside Animal Hospital. We had a great experience.

Lily is coming up on her first birthday now in May and while she's still a little unruly at times, she truly is the sweetest little thing ever. She is so affectionate and cuddly and like a little shadow following me around the house. She's a picky little eater and LOVES her long walks and meeting other dogs.

I'll post some new pictures on here soon! I might be a little biased, but she is just so darn cute!

Diane: Yes, she was jumping against it and her leg got caught. We're really careful with her now around things that have bars and holes... she's a bouncy little girl!

Wonderful news on Lily...as we are going through a healing with Beemer and his next surgery is on March 17th...I will totally agree with you....a great vet and a superior orthopedic surgeon certainly help to ease one's fears.....can't wait to see her photos.....
