A multi-sensory walk

I walk Bodi at 5 am.  Usually the only one we see is a mini-poodle who lives around the corner.  His owner is not friendly, so even though the dogs would love to great each other they don't get to. We arrived at the corner at the same time this morning.  I held back, Bodi yanked and yanked, and then we continued our walk.  A few streets up Bodi and I could see someone walking in the street towards us.  I am not afraid of people walking dogs or joggers, but this person was just walking leisurely. When he was finally close enough to see, I could see that he was a power walker, who had lost his power!  Moving on we saw a bunny (ouch - there goes my hip), another bunny (did I mention that my chiropractor LOVES Bodi?) and then . . . ewwww . . .a smooshed bunny in the street.  Bodi really wanted to investigate that, but I walked quickly past.  We turned the corner and continued our walk.  Where the street light is out I hear a low growl and a little warning woof.  One of these neighbors had let their dog out . . . . alone.  For once, Bodi was a good boy and kept walking.  I told the other dog to "go home" and he let us be.  So our walk was full of sights, sounds, smells and yanking of the leash.  I think I'll go get the ice pack!

Yes, we start at 5am.  It is pitch black outside!!  I'm happy to say one of the neighborhood hawks must have enjoyed the smooshed bunny - it was gone!

Have to start this with 5:00 A.M. ??  What the Doodle ?? That is still very "dark o'clock" UGH !! I bow down to your determined spirit, and tenacious attitude. There certainly seems to be quite a bit of activity on your walk. Just keep on doing what you are doing, enjoy your outing with Bodi,  and be careful.

You are lucky that your boys sleep, Jarka!  I would have to get up around this time anyway.  Weekends are the problem - no need for 5 am, but Bodi doesn't understand!

Sounds like a great walk in the morning and Bodi is one super Doodle!  Hope you are feeling better!
