Yesterday morning Lacey and I did 4.5 miles of 1 minute run/walk/run intervals at one of our city parks. During the walking parts we worked on starts/stops, inside/outside "U" turns and left/right turns and how to stay out from under my feet during these turns. Lacey did very well. When we are working like this she has to concentrate too much to be scared of anything.
There are always lots of other walkers/runners with and without dogs, stroller and/or both that are either coming towards us or passing us. Lacey is learning how not to be afraid of all the movement around her.
There are several sports fields at our favorite park and always some sort of youth games taking place. After our runs we will pop in to watch part of a game (especially if it is soccer). While we are in the stands watching I am more than happy to let anyone pet Lacey if they would like to (and everyone always wants to pet her). Each time we do this Lacey grows more use to people and crowd noises.
She is still very afraid of people but we are slowly (very slowly) making progress.
