Dear Fudge & Vern, this is Rooney and boy do I have a bone to pick with you.  I have come to believe that your mom is a very bad influence on my mom.  It was bad enough that those two are taking a cruise while leaving us doods home - carousing about, having adventures and probably some frozen cocktails, but then your parents had to go get you a boat, and trust me - even though I HATE water, I was happy for you guys, cute pictures, happy blogs, yadda yadda.  Well now my parents are getting a boat and I am blaming it on your mom!  That's right - my mom & dad jumped on the boat bandwagon without even taking into serious consideration MY feelings because I would have voted NO.  My younger, much larger - water LOVING (and less intelligent) brother is all excited!  So my parents have been very distracted this past week, taking us to daycare while they are running all over two states to find the perfect boat - it is coming this Friday and my mom the safety nut has already gotten us the dreaded doggy life vests.  I'm not going to get on that boat willingly and there is no way I'm getting into any water - I'm a dood whose hair doesn't do well when wet.  I heard my mom saying that she was going to be asking your mom some doggie boating advise - apparently she doesn't want nail scratches on the upholstery or us Stuart leaping out of the boat while underway (this might be my chance to give big 'ol Stuart a little nudge).  Can I ask - is there anything else your parents are about to do?  Skydiving, motorcycles with you guys in the side cars because I'm about to start chewing on my mom's computer if there is.

For Stuart's eyes only!  Knox would be humiliated if I posted this for all to see! (This pic was taken last summer when I came home with a life-jacket for an upcoming trip to the lake.  It was too small and had to be returned.  My family was laughing hysterically!)

@Laurie - 1st I LOVE your orange bikini - I'd borrow it but it wouldn't fit on my right thigh!  Also Rooney is not happy about the boat purchase but the little water hater NEVER actually said it was a pontoon.  We are on big ol Lake Michigan and then will take trailer(I'm afraid of that)  it to FL to the big ol gulf.  We ended up getting a bowrider which is similar to a pontoon in its seating but still can handle a rougher body of water.  Stuart IS cracking us up over the life vest.  He had it on twice and "froze" both times - wouldn't take a step even for a bite of steak!  Darn dogs.

Oh Rooney, we are so sorry to hear that your mom and dad are getting something you  don't like.  They really should have asked your opinion.  We are camping with our mom and dad this week and we saw a motorcycle go by with a Doberman crated on the back rack!  Pooooooorrrrr guy,  At least you will be IN something,

Laurie, you look absolutely gorgeous in that orange bikini!  I never ever doubted that you would!  Seriously, I am in awe and know that your rockin' body will be the talk of the cruise...

Remember this was all about the robes...thanks, though, for showing us your lake attire.  No wonder you purchased a paddle board...I would too if I looked like you...

Rooney you are not alone. Wilson hates water and hates our boat......and Murphy loves water,loves our boat. We have spent this whole summer tryi g to convince Wilson that boating is fun and finally we have given up. We leave him in the house napping.
