Dear Fudge & Vern, this is Rooney and boy do I have a bone to pick with you.  I have come to believe that your mom is a very bad influence on my mom.  It was bad enough that those two are taking a cruise while leaving us doods home - carousing about, having adventures and probably some frozen cocktails, but then your parents had to go get you a boat, and trust me - even though I HATE water, I was happy for you guys, cute pictures, happy blogs, yadda yadda.  Well now my parents are getting a boat and I am blaming it on your mom!  That's right - my mom & dad jumped on the boat bandwagon without even taking into serious consideration MY feelings because I would have voted NO.  My younger, much larger - water LOVING (and less intelligent) brother is all excited!  So my parents have been very distracted this past week, taking us to daycare while they are running all over two states to find the perfect boat - it is coming this Friday and my mom the safety nut has already gotten us the dreaded doggy life vests.  I'm not going to get on that boat willingly and there is no way I'm getting into any water - I'm a dood whose hair doesn't do well when wet.  I heard my mom saying that she was going to be asking your mom some doggie boating advise - apparently she doesn't want nail scratches on the upholstery or us Stuart leaping out of the boat while underway (this might be my chance to give big 'ol Stuart a little nudge).  Can I ask - is there anything else your parents are about to do?  Skydiving, motorcycles with you guys in the side cars because I'm about to start chewing on my mom's computer if there is.

OMD...those robes are not sissy at all.......they are wonderful and Fudge and Vern love them :) LOL

Rooney, this is Tara. You are always welcome to come to my house and play civilized games while your parents and wild brother are out doing that crazy boat stuff. I feel your pain, I'm not a water dog either and that would be pure torture for me. I don't think Oregon is too far away from wherever you are...so think about it...

Rooney, something tells me that it's not going to be as bad as you think!  Your momma is going to do everything possible to make it a pleasant experience, I just know it! Now, if she should get you and Stuart those sissy bath robes, then you'll know she's lost it, but until then, don't despair...

Rooney, Rooney, Rooney....I am so sorry you feel badly, BUT I think you will change your mind once you get out there on the open water. Fudge actually leaped off the boat Sunday right behind me into the water and she was not as much of a water dog as Vern. She has surprised all of us and turned into a wonderful water dog as long as we have her attached to the boat on a line :) No to skydiving and motorcycles, but we did get a paddle board and maybe your mom and dad will get one of those, too. PLUS, Fudge and Vern get lots of good treats on the boat, even CHEESE and they love cheese. Tell your mom we cover every inch of the seats with towels because Vern comes out of the water and rolls or digs (and we tell him a big no to digging) on every single seat.  So far that has been enough.  We also leashed both our doods on the first few boat rides before we knew how they would do. Now, just Fudge stays attached to the boat at all times, but we put leashes on them when docking. OK, Rooney....make the best of this situation. A good captain is needed on every ride and you just let Stuart know that is YOU!! I hope you come to love it as much as Fudge and Vern do!!!

Rooney, don't worry, you are going to love riding "in" the boat....you won't have to go in if you don't want to and from all the previous photos, discussions and blogs we all know you don't like the water. Your Mom and Dad love you so much.

Talk about peer pressure and caving in to bad influences!!  I feel for you, Rooney - but obviously your parents are into that "keeping up with the Jones'" thing - I didn't even know Fudge and Vern's last name was Jones!!!! :)
