We are getting a doodle to foster from Doodle Rescue Collective, Inc.  She is a year older than Holly and has come from a home with smaller dogs and a larger dog.  Although Holly adores the Maltese, I am sure that Holly will be happy to have a girl her own size to play with.

Here is the picture we were sent of this poor girl.  She looks like she needs some TLC!

Now that Cocoa realize she will get petted and praised for sitting, she keeps unning up to me and sitting.  Of course, she wins and gets petted and praised...

Richard, I know Cocoa is in the best place she can be to become a healthy happy doodle. Thank you so much for all you do.

Cocoa follows me around like a little brown lamb.  I no longer have the lead on her and she responds quite well to voice commands like come and off.  She is a bit slower to sit but, I am having her sit for treats and her food.  She ate pretty well for her first meal and finished a half bowl of food.

Funny thing, our little puppy-mill rescue girl, Melody, who is usually quite afraid of anything new was not a bit scared of Cocoa.  Melody liked out other chocolate doodle foster, Sophie, and I wonder if she thinks that Sophie has cone back to visit us.

I am really looking forward to having her groomed but, she had a small puncture wound on her face that has been treated by Kelly, who is a vet.  Cocoa is on antibiotics and we don't want her bathed until the wound heals.  Nice thing about doodles is that most of them I have met don't have a doggy smell.  A dog, other than a doodle, this shaggy would usually smell petty bad...

I introduced her to the Maltese, a few at a time. She was great and the Maltese seem to have accepted her.  I am keeping her on a lead but,  I am sure that won't be for long.

What a sweetheart, so glad that she is in your hands!

She's going to be beautiful, Richard.  Right now, bad hair is an understatement.  Her poor bare nose looks so sore.  Thank you for helping and loving her.

You will have her spruced up and happy in no time.  Thanks for all you do.

She is a beautiful dog and is in the best hands for some love and care!  Thanks for all you and Judy do for these dogs!

You can see there is a beautiful girl under that hair! More importantly, it sounds like she's a sweet dog, too. Can't wait to watch the tranformation!
