My Mr. /Sir Butter walks sort of diagnal now since one of his back legs is kinda weak. He is on prednisone for past few days for his pain... He is really old, but in a way, it is cute and very lovable....Just now, he walked into my room where it is dark, and we ( Charlie & I ) looked each other as we wonder what he was going in there for, and heard some noises. Charlie looked at me again as she is telling me " Mom, You'd better go check on Mr./Sir Butter...." So we both walked in my room and turned the lights on.... There he was inside of Charlie's crate!! Butter was never crate trained, never been inside of the crate, etc.....Charlie can be teritorial at times, but she again just looked at me, like " Whaaat? What is he doing in my room, mom?". Butter looked us, too and he was totally confused to what he went inside of her crate for!! ( no toys, no snack, etc.. were never in there... ) Just like an old person.... He is getting confused to what he is doing sometimes!! :-)

Aww, so glad that Mr. Butter found a place for himself, and that charlie shares it with him...It is sometimes so hard to watch them get old, but they do, and they just like us get confused sometimes.  One of our old dogs used to stare at the walll, and sometimes bark at it.  That freaked  me out, but the hearing goes too, as does the the eyes and the gait.  They are so much like us in so amny wys...I love his name, Mr. Butter, so cute..Hugs to all...

That's sweet that Charlie keeps an eye on him.  And I can just see him going into the crate and then thinking, "Now what did I come in here for?"  Just like we do when we walk into a room and can't remember why.

This afternnon, we found Butter again in Charlie's crate. I guess he found it to be a relaxing den... ( No blanket, cushion, nothing in it, though. Because Charlie always pushes it away.) Charlie just let him be....

Charlie does look after him. It often takes long time for him to go to bathroom, so he may stay out in our yard for little longer to finish his business after Charlie and I come inside. ( I think his muscle is weak and takes him awhile to push everything out.) Charlie will then bark at me after awhile to let me know that he should come inside now.

I came back in here Kyoko because I have thought of this post all day.   The things the Old Dogs do!

Pete ( blind ) was very good up until the end.   In the last few years he would constantly go stand in the corner and look at the wall.  Then he would tilt his head left, then right, as if someone was talking to him.  Ewww Spooky.  I think it was our voices bouncing off the walls OR he wondered why he could hear us there but not smell us, OR he was just confused old guy.  Happy, but really really confused.

Ya know, sometimes I appreciate being confused.

Mr. Butter!  What a sweet old guy.  Hope he is feeling okay :)

Mr. Jake, family cairn terrier, used to hang in his crate when he got older. The other dogs would lie next to him - they are so smart!!!
