Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello, all!! I have not been here for over a year!! I joined DK over 7 years ago when I first began looking for a doodle. Through the support and education I received here, we welcomed our F1b Labradoodle Charlie girl February of 2009. Charlie turned out to be a bit different girl who educated me through her intuitive and eccentric life. DK community was there to…

A group of local YMCA staff read this article and listen to the NPR, and was absolutely shocked to know the numbers of homeless families we have in our school district.…

One of them recently received resiliency award here in Pittsburgh, also recieved National Scholarship for students experiencing homelessness. There were 15 students nation wide…

Some of you may already know that Charlie has been a very reactive girl ever since she was a little puppy. We had gone through years of obedience training with her but she continue to be very fearful and reactive towards anyone, anything and any dogs she does not know what or who it is.
She had an injury in the beginning of the summer, and I began taking her to this holistic vet about an hour away for this injury. The doctor was wonderful, and we began discussing about her…

I am so over joyed today.
Some of you may know, but I work as a school social worker at local public school. Part of my job is to assist homeless students with transportation and other school needs to ensure their success in school. I also work as a mental health therapist for kids some of the evenings as my second job.
Today was overwhelmingly joyful day for me to hear two wonderful news. I thought these two seniors are really, true valedictorians in my eyes. They over came…

This winter has been really nice and mild so far. Here in Pittsburgh, usually by now, we would had several inches of snow and freezing cold weather. I hate cold weather, so this has been perfect for me. However, Charlie LOVES to play in snow. Too bad for her..... Well, Today I found out that local county park's ski slope has been doing the test shoot of the fake snow. So, during our regular walk, we took a detour to go look at this test shoot. There were several large patches of snow, each…

I work for the local public school and one of my duties is to assign homebound teachers for the students who cannot attend school temporary due to illness, injury, etc... This afternoon, I had conversation with one of the homebound teachers and this is what he told me.....
He told me that the little girl whom I assigned him to recently told him that her house was haunted. She told him that her mom bought this house on sheriff's sale a couple of years ago. She said that she sees ghost…

Ok, I am so mad. Here's what's going on....
1) I have been growing Charlie's legs' fur for quite sometime now. Some of you may know, but she has shaved face, short cut body and long fur on the legs. I just think it is cute on her. But because of matting, getting wet in the water, etc... I have not been able to grow her legs' fur as long as I wanted them to be, until recently. I have been combing, ( I found the comb that works really wel and Charlie does not mind this comb ) faithfully…

They also indicated informations in…

I worked ( In a process of quitting this job ) as a chemical dependency therapist for the people in a halfway house, probation or pre-trial, with drug and alcohol dependency. I was a bit scared when I first got this gig.....
Today was a sentencing hearing for one of my client. He is in early 20's, I beleive he was in special ed as a student. He sold cocain to support his habit, also to have friends and social status.
On the flip side, he was the most punctual, respectful and…

Today is Butter's estimated 16th Birthday!!! ( He came to us when he was a little less than a year old.)
He shared majority of my kids' lives, taught them responsibilities, compassion, empathy, and unconditional love.
Protected us, ( I was by myself and all of my kids were so little...) brought many joy to us.
Each winter gets more difficult for him, and his arthritis seems to progress. But, he is eating OK and still enjoy going outside. He loved the snow and enjoyed the…
