Ok, I am so mad. Here's what's going on....

1) I have been growing Charlie's legs' fur for quite sometime now. Some of you may know, but she has shaved face, short cut body and long fur on the legs. I just think it is cute on her. But because of matting, getting wet in the water, etc... I have not been able to grow her legs' fur as long as I wanted them to be, until recently. I have been combing, ( I found the comb that works really wel and Charlie does not mind this comb ) faithfully taking her to the groomer for 20 min. brushing every 2 weeks to get them all nice. Now they were about 3 inches long. It looked so nice and fluffy.

2) In my back yard is a bush that makes burrs. The guy who was coming to cut them has not shown up yet, so time to time she get those burrs on her legs. She hates them and gets into a panic mode, if she gets them on her.

3) And then, another thing is that I now have 4 people whose ages range from 17 ~ 23 living in my house due to the summer.

One of these 4 people was nice enough to let Charlie play in the back yard, and obiously, she got burrs on her legs. Charlie would get into her panic mode. You just have to take time to loosen up those hair and get the burrs out for her, or just tell MOM  her owner. However, this individual decided that instead of letting her go through the agony of getting the burrs out, why not just trim them out? So today when I got home, all 4 of her legs were mitch match length and near the feet were almost shaved short!!! Needless to say none of these four individuals knows what happened. I told them that if they did not fess up, I was calling the police because someone had broke into the house and cut up her legs!

It may sounds silly, But I am soooo mad!!! I told them all to go to their room and dont come out because I did not want to see any of them!!!

Wow! That's a story that I hope you can figure out real soon, don't feel bad Chloe doesn't have any hair on her legs either!

OMD! I guess Charlie REALLY hates having burrs on herself!!  Well, I see you are considering cording Charlie along with Spud so guess it is time for a new look!!  Glad everything "came out" okay! LOL!

My DIL took our Springer Spaniel on a hike where his ears and leg feathers got full of burrs.  She pulled out a lot but decided to cut the rest out.  He had one long ear and one short and one leg with feathers and one not - what a mess.  And she thought I wouldn't notice!

I came to the conclusion that Charlie DID eat her legs!! She is eating fine drinking fine and stopped the gagging. ( She must have a piece of burr stucked in her throat.) and did poop. I had to squish her poop and examine it to see if she was passing her hair, and yes, there were fine hair through out her poop...sigh...... :-(

She looks like she tucked in her pants legs in her socks!!

Sounds like you may have a closet groomer just waiting to come out with one of these 4 youngsters.  I say, for the punishment, they MUST attend grooming school.

Oh poop, I hope that she passed everything fine, it sounds like she did eat them off.

If the landscaper doesn't get there soon then I think you should send your 4 young adults out there with clippers.

Keep us posted!

OMD, she probably did eat them off.  Yikes....here's hoping she can just pass those "legs" with no problems.

OH NO!  I hope she didn't eat them!  I would watch for her poop & see if she poops it out.  She'll probably be ok, but if she doesn't poop them out within a couple of days, I might call the vet.  If she is acting normal, she's probably fine.  But, if not, I'd definitely call. I'm with you...I'd definitely be MAD too!  I would make it clear for the future you don't want anyone touching your baby without your permission!

Charlie was gagging this evening. I started to suspect that because burrs were left on her legs, she may have chewed them up along with her own hair. Now I am worried that if all of that fur is going to cause some obstructions or not...:-(

There were no cut hair to be found in any of my trash can, either......
