Sitting down to do the taxes this morning...and out of the corner of my eye I see the bird feeder going down....!?!?!

I didn't think the wet and heavy snow that had been falling all morning could do it.......

This guy hung around for quite a while....and Banjo REALLY wanted to go out and play with him....but was entertained watching him from the window.

Guess who WON'T be doing "poop patrol" for a while?!

I'm going to create an album on my page if you'd like to see more pics of this guy.

That little coastal town is sounding better every minute Cheryl.....I've spent the morning stack wood for next winter.....a job we should have tackled last fall.   Give me a beach!!

Gives me the shivers :)  I'm thinking dolphins are better playmates then bears.  You must be thinking a little coastal town is sounding even better  :)

Cheryl - When I think of all of our wonderful, off-leash, woodland walks this winter where Banjo was sticking his nose and head in every hole he could find.....well...it gives me the shivers!

Wow!  Amazing pics! But I'd be very afraid to let Banjo off leash too.  These Doodles will play with ANYTHING. Hope Poo Bear is gone by now.  Interesting to see something that wild up close.

Wow, Carol....  That's crazy!  He's so cool to look at - from inside the house.  Banjo must have been going crazy.  Last week, one night, I flipped on the light at midnight and a huge coyote ran off from the yard...  I made sure that it was One Quick pee, let me tell you... and I have been on alert ever since.  I keep waiting for a skunk to appear....  ewww.  These are awesome pictures.  Thanks for sharing!

Donna....It took me a day and a half to get up the nerve to bring Banjo back out...it was DH's job.   I do find myself looking out the windows a lot more than usual!

Carol, if I looked out my window and saw this I might never venture outside again but he does look awfully cute in the pictures.

He was pretty cute!   I was thinking it would be nice if he and Banjo could play!  (Probably not a good idea....)

Hi Shelly!   Banjo finally started barking through the window at him and he took off...although he returned a short while later to "finish" his meal.   Needless to say....DH got poop patrol for the rest of that day!   Now when we go out I whistle alot.....just to make sure everyone knows we're about!   : )

Hi Sue - I'm guessing he's 2-3 yrs old...so momma is long gone.   In general there is no danger unless you cornered or spooked them.  Banjo & I spent all winter walking the wooded path behind our house - Banjo off leash - I'm afraid to have him off leash now...I think he'd run after this guy or any other wild critter.  He'd be thinking Yea....playmate!!    Once the snow melts and things begin to grow I don't think we'll have any more visitors to the bird feeder.   Until then I won't be feeding the birds.
