Should have listened to the Trainer!!
Last week we had a little Escape 'incident'.... our trainer told us that this would happen one day... and I must admit I didnt believe her.... because "he's been so good"! We have been able to play football and chase the tennis ball and sticks in our yard since he was a pup. Last week Wookie decided that he was a big boy (9 months) and took off into the woods for about 30 minutes... deep into the forest, where I could not see or hear him. …

Hi Gena! Just want to wish you a very Happy Birthday! This will be your first birthday and first Christmas in your new home!!!! Wishing you a year of health and happiness! ((HUGS)) From Carol & Banjo
Thank you for your kinds words about Chewie!
Ooh, I think Chewie's only half the size of Wookie's. He's medium size, so fully-grown he's expected to be about 18-20kg (36-40 lbs). Right now he's just under 16kg (32 lbs) at 7.5 months old. I'm not sure how tall he is though...will measure it tonight and let you know :)
He LOOKS big 'cos most of the time I take his picture by himself without any reference. Plus he's super fluffy now. When he starts shedding, I will give him a trim. A short-coated wookie should be quite funny-looking :)
Thank you so much for your comments Gena! Your's is beautiful as well! :)
Have a good day
William
Hello Gena & Wookiee....The first several weeks are surely "life altering"...and those 2 am potty breaks...well...I'm a big scardey cat so DH did that! It isn't easy for sure...I used to think doing babies was easier...and I had TWINS!!!! BUT, it DOES get easier....and the poops DO firm up ... that did take some time for Banjo. It was several months actually. I'll be watching for photos!!!
We are enjoying the milder weather...however our yard is still blanketed in snow....I'll be so happy when it's all gone and dry out there! In the meantime Banjo is still enjoying romping in the snow and catching snowballs....of which there is a never ending supply!
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend Gena! Carol
