It's time for another installment of "As Rosco Wees"...

We made significant progress yesterday! While the chicken broth idea has not taken form ( I don't cook meat, so the motivation to buy a chunk of chicken isn't very high ) -- I did use tuna again.. two cans worth (well WE humans ate the tuna...)!

What I did is drain off the tuna liquid into a plastic container... then rinsed out the tuna cans into that same container.
Next, I froze the tuna water.
Finally, I put the giant tuna ice into a large stainless steel dog bowl and poured water over it... I left a giant chunk of tuna ice in the water for a few seconds to allow a little bit of the tuna water to melt into the regular water (before returning the tuna ice back to the freezer).

Rosco loved it and drank about 2 quarts maybe a little more.

After I went to work, Clark repeated the above and Rosco drank 2 to 3 quarts.

After supper, he did not drink at all (maybe a sip at most)!!!! It was a miracle :-)

Data:
10:40 am drank first tuna water
--was at work so don't know the rest...but Clark gave him second dose in here--
3pm--pee
walk with 2-3 pees
3:50pm--pee
4:40---pee
~5pm supper
5:45--pee
5:50--I took him out again before we went out to eat...he peed
7:05--when we got back let Rosco out and he peed
7:50--pee
8:25--pee
9:15--pee
11:59--went to bed late and let Rosco out right before and he peed.

Glad to hear you seem to have possibly found a solution :)

He did not wake in the night after the above described day.
But last night ... he did at 4am because he was too sleepy when we went to bed at 10:00 ish and I figured he'd be fine without a last pee. WRONG! But he also pooped at 4am so maybe he would have gotten up anyway.

Those instances where I wrote "pee" HE asked to go out unless it said so otherwise.

DId he wake you during the night?
.
How come he goes out to pee so often? He asking? To me, that sounds like a lot since Samantha hates to go out before 10am.

Try canned broth but watch the sodium level

I didn't use ice cubes-- it's a bowl shaped large ice chunk sitting in a Tupperware container in the freezer :-)

w00t! Tuna ice cubes for the win! I hope you keep the ice cubes in a specially labeled container in the freezer, LOL
