So this morning I let Tara out to do her "business" and it was raining. She ran out and did a quick number one and then a quick number 2 and dashed back into the house. However, instead of settling in as she normally does for her morning nap, she starting running around the house looking behind her like she had the Hounds of Hell on her tail!! Then she would freeze and stare at me with wild, pleading eyes only to take off running again.
All I could think of was oh, oh, a "stuck poop!" So I grabbed her as she was flying past me and looked her over but she was clean! Nothing!! I let her go and off she ran again!! My next thought was "annal glands!!" (having learned of all the possiblilities right here on DK!!). But about then DH who was calmly sitting across the room watching all of this said he thought he saw something on one of her rear legs. The next time she came running past I grabbed her again with a tissue in hand (thinking it could still be the errant piece of poop). But this is what I got!!:
A TINY baby SLUG!! Now how in the doodle did she even know it was THERE?? Do doodles have a slugometer that tells them when a slug is within a few inches of them?? And why was she so WILD about it??
But here is my real concern. As you probably know, Tara and I recently joined in alliance with Laurie, Fudge and Vern. Vern, as you are surely aware of by now, has a severe case of Scared-Cat Dog. Is it possible that little Tara is now somehow being influenced by Vern through the Lauricki Alliance????

Laurie, I missed that in the fine print!! I was about to sign her up for the Chicken Doodle club when I read the comment from Donna. Now I realize it was just her highly evolved Doodle Brain kicking in and alerting her to Danger!!! Her number one concern was thatf being SLIMED of course(she is a girl after all!). Secondly would be the danger of the deadly parasites. :)
Nina I think Slugometers are internal like Biological clocks. :) We all have them and that is what causes us to keep a certain distance from slugs. I just didn't know that doodles had them too! LOL!
Good one, F!!!
