Awaiting Our Malt-Shi Puppies

We have just received an owner surrendered Shih-Tsu who (we are assured by the owner) had an affair with a Maltese. She is very-very pregnant and the owner realized that as a singe working female, she couldn't whelp the puppies and care for the mom and pups...

Her name is Mikka and she seems quite healthy and well cared for (except that she was not spayed when she should have been).   But, that's the story of many rescues...

We have had some puppies that we suspected were Maltese + Shih-Tsu in the  past.  They are absolutely darling and we know that we will be able to get these little sweethearts good homes when they come into this world.

This little gal was petrified of big Holly at first.  However within 48 hours, they have become great friends.  That Holly is some wonderful gal!
