Bad Momma

Rua here to update you on my morning! Papa left on Wednesday for a vacation (whatever that is) in Florida (that's where Gramma J lives) for his birthday but Momma stayed home to be with me since I am so little. Momma thought she would try to read the paper this morning (they are in the driveway every morning when we go for our walk...in an orange bag. Momma has Thursday's, Friday's and Saturday's in orange bags still so I don't know why she needed to take Sunday's out of the bag).

So, Momma sat on the wood floor with a cup of coffee (she wouldn't let me drink any of it, though) and had me on my leash tethered to her foot. I could only go so far...couldn't make it to the carpet (Momma gets REALLY watchful of me when I venture out onto the carpet). I did have toys to play with, though Momma wasn't paying the attention to me that I deserve and she didn't even notice that I pottied on the floor 6 feet away from her until much later.

Bad Momma, what was she thinking trying to read the Sunday paper instead of paying attention to me.

Rua.... better be careful, I bet your mom won't let that happen again! Guinness and Murphy are right about paper... it is so fun. Personally I love shredding toilet paper. My mom stopped putting it on the dispenser and now puts it on the toilet tank... well guess what - I figured out how to get it down and yesterday mom woke up to what she has been calling the "toilet paper massacre of 2010" :o)

Hmm, you Mom was sitting on the floor with the paper right? Oh little Rua, you're so innocent. Just like Ned and Clancy said, you should have jumped on your Mom's lap, grabbed the paper, and run with it. Sometimes when you do that it even rips, and that puts an end to the "paper reading". HA HA. Don't worry, little Doodle girl, we'll all teach you the "ropes". Way to go on the "floor potty" incident though....that will teach your Mom that she MUST pay attention to you at all times. Dear Rua,
Mom's seem to think that they should have newspaper and computer time. What are they thinking??? We love to trick our Mama when she is on the computer. We run over and bug her and jump on the couch and try to get onto the computer keyboard so she closes the computer to pet us and then (giggle) we run away. She falls for this EVERY time (teehee). Eventually we are going to train her into realizing that all attention is ours whenever we want it. Try it sometime - get on her paper and then jump off when she starts to give you attention.
