Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I was picking up Holly from the doggie beauty parlor when I met a friend of hers there. Our groomer lets the "nice" dogs wander around the shop after they are groomed, so Holly and her friend had the run of the place.
At first I thought that the big guy was a black Labradoodle. He was a bit shorter than Holly but more powerfully built. Holly weighs 55-pounds but, I would expect that her black friend weighs at least 75-pounds; all muscle, no fat. He had coal-black wavy hair with none of the normal ends turning grey, even though he was five years old.
His owner came to pick him up at the same time I picked up Holly and told me that he wasn't a Labradoodle. Rather he was a Wheaton Terrier + Poodle cross. I don't know what kind of doodle or oodle he would be called (Possibly a Whoodle) but he certainly was a great looking, elegant (and very friendly) dog. I think that Holly is a gorgeous dog but, that black friend of hers was every bit as nice looking in a more masculine way!

And.... whoodles don't shed. He sure sounds beautiful. We know a whoodle. He is light in color and has a sturdier build,
Interesting mix...
Richard, I had the same thought Laurie did about the camera! Sounds like he was beautiful! I always carry a very small pocket camera just for those "moments":)
Wheatons are great dogs :) Not sure why you'd cross a wheaton with a poodle (maybe hoping for a slimmer build?) but either way I'm sure he was gorgeous!
Richard, Too bad you did not have your camera with you to get a picture of Holly and her new friend.
