Most of you know of my struggles with Bella and poop. She started eating hers from the day she came at 10 weeks old. We tried Everything possible to stop it. She's got "leave it" down like a champ. Problem is I have to be out there to catch her. We got a house with a huge back yard to be able to let them out and have fun playing and frolicking, not for me to stand out there on guard.
We thought staying on top of all the poop disposal would solve the problem, but then we noticed she is not only eating hers, she started eating Murphy's, while its still warm! So we have to be really on top of getting out there to catch it. I know, really gross. The only thing that keeps me sane through this is Knowing my dogs poops are healthy and free of too many germs.
Except today she has totally crossed the line......as I was watering plants out front and letting them romp around, she found ANOTHER dogs poop in the yard, and decided to roll, and roll and flop and rub herself all over in it. OMG! The smell! And of course I had just given her a bath Friday. Thank goodness I also shaved her down really close so with hose in hand she got a quick shower. This is new and beyond disgusting to me.
I don't know how much more poop I can take. I really think I should just rehome her to a farmer and let her just have a heyday with all kinds of manure, cuz obviously she loves poop more than keeping me from loosing my mind!
Kidding of course, but does anyone feel my pain out there? I post this in total jest as in light of all that's happened in our country this past week, and with some of our own dear members health, I am truely appreciative that this is the biggest problem in my life right now.

Wish I could help, but Libby has never had the desire for that extra meal!  I feel your pain though, it would drive me insane too:(

Yuck!!!!!! What I do with Jack though he is not a poop eater..I don't want poop in my yard is I try to walk him during his poop times so I can pick it up and bag it...this cuts down significantly on the chances of poop being in my yard......

I would lose it ...jack rolled once in something stinky and I gagged...it was gross..lucky for me I have a metro sexual boy dog....he does t like to be wet, dirty or stinky!

thankfully, Quincy is not a poop eater, but our dear departed lab, Morgan, loved her "hot meals" as we called it. it is gross and I feel your pain.  My DH just reminded me that we only let her kiss people we ...well, best left unsaid.  We used to try to shame her if caught in the act and it did get better as she got older.  We did a lot of not great training techniques back in those days, though.
