Bella's first Dog Park Visit

Bella's shots are finished and her incision from her spaying is healed, so we all went to the dog park today for the first time. DH, Murphy, Bella and I walked over, about 1/2 mile or so, and as we got closer she started to notice all the dogs and got so excited. She decided to show everyone how big she was by barking at a huge mastif. He wasn't the least bit phased by her little white fluffy self.

We took her in on her leash, let her get a feel for all the new sights and smells and it wasn't long before she and Murphy started playing and off-leash she went. She was just perfect with all the other dogs, smelling and running and letting people pet her. She is just as friendly as can be and what was the best of all is that when I called her in the midst of all that playing...She RAN to me!!! She comes so good that I am amazed everytime she does it, but certainly wasn't expecting her to do it with all the other dogs around. I can't take credit for it either, she came from the breeder all trained to come on call. Wish I knew how she did that!!

So Bella will be attending her first Arizona Doodle Romp next week, and it'll be her coming out party as none of the other Doodle Rompers have met her yet. I will have pictures I'm sure.

I know some people don't care for dog parks but I swear by them. Rooney was a little shy and timid when he first went to the dog park and now, watch out - he is a different puppy. Tell Bella that we think she is a very good girl and to just run, run, run and have fun!
