Best Christmas Gift!

For those of you who know me I had a little health blip starting a year ago. It was right before Christmas last year that my Dr. started to think there was something wrong with me after a routine blood test. I wont go into all the details however they found that I had leukemia. Went through Chemo and doing very well in remission as of June 8th. Dec. 7th  was my 6 month check up at Sloan Kettering. Needless to say the week leading up to that I was a nervous wreck. Well, I am still in remission! WhooHoo! Couldn't ask for a nicer Christmas gift!!! I don't have to worry for another 6 months.

I'm so happy for you, Anna.  I remember your first chemo treatment and how much you wanted Achilles to be with you.  I know he was there in spirit, and he and all your "other boys" have been there with you through every step of this journey.  I so admire how you handled this with so much grace and hope.  Woo Hoo for remission!  I'm sure you and your family will have an amazing holiday this year!

Congratulations Anna!!  I understand the "scanxiety" completely and the immense relief when you get the "all clear" news.  My husband has been in remission from lymphoma for 4 years :)

Woo hoo! That is the BEST Christmas blessing. My best friend's daughter is fighting leukemia now. She was diagnosed 2 years ago, and she's been on chemo treatments this whole time. But she only has 7 treatments left, and she's doing great!
